Upon successful completion of the programme, learners are awarded a UK regulated qualification awarded by OTHM and regulated by Ofqual.

Program Introduction

The Level 3 SwissUK® Diploma in Business Studies provides learners with a solid understanding of business operations and organisational structures, together with the foundational knowledge and skills needed for employment or further study. The programme covers key areas such as academic skills, business IT, economics and accounting, and the business environment, helping learners build a strong base for progression in business-related study or work.

This Level 3 qualification is positioned within the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to GCE AS/A Levels. Upon completion, learners may progress to undergraduate programmes, subject to the admission requirements of the receiving institution, or enter employment at an appropriate level.

Mandatory Modules

1. Introduction to Research and Academic Skills (R/616/0686): 10 UK Credits / 5 ECTS Credits

  • This module develops essential academic skills, including research, referencing, critical thinking, and academic writing. Learners build the ability to locate information, evaluate sources, and present ideas clearly and effectively for study and future professional use.

2. Using IT for Business (J/616/2712): 10 UK Credits / 5 ECTS Credits

  • This module introduces the practical use of information technology in business contexts. Learners develop skills in internet research, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software to support effective communication and business tasks.

3. Introduction to Economics and Accounting (D/616/0691): 10 UK Credits / 5 ECTS Credits

  • This module provides a foundation in basic economics and accounting principles. Learners explore topics such as money, inflation, bookkeeping, period-end adjustments, and the preparation and interpretation of financial statements.

4. Introduction to the Business Environment (L/616/2713): 10 UK Credits / 5 ECTS Credits

  • This module helps learners understand different business types and structures, the role of stakeholders, and the impact of the internal and external business environment. It also introduces socially responsible behaviour and core business concepts in practical settings.

5. Introduction to Marketing (D/616/2716): 10 UK Credits / 5 ECTS Credits

  • This module introduces the foundations of marketing, including market research, marketing planning, segmentation, the marketing mix, and basic marketing strategy. Learners gain an understanding of how marketing supports business growth and customer engagement.

6. Introduction to Customer Service (H/616/0692): 10 UK Credits / 5 ECTS Credits

  • This module develops understanding of customer service delivery in different business contexts. Learners explore communication techniques, customer expectations, and practical approaches to supporting and improving customer service performance.
Assignments:
  • Complete 6 written assignments (2,000–3,000 words each) based on the module titles.

  • Provide a broad foundation of business knowledge, including the business environment, marketing, finance, and customer service.
  • Develop core academic skills such as research, referencing, critical thinking, and academic writing.

Admission
Entry Requirements:
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
  • Completion of full secondary education is required.
English Requirements:
  • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR): Level B2; or
  • IELTS: Overall score of 5.5, with Reading and Writing at 5.5; or
  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): Score of 51.
Level 3 e-Procerts

As a program mapped to National Occupational Standards, along with the supplemental knowledge system, students can engage in self-study through interactive lessons, attend webinars, and take online tests to earn 06 Level 3 e-ProCerts. Each e-ProCert reflects Level 3 (Foundation Level), outlines the Learning Outcomes, and provides certification upon completion.

If students wish to convert their e-ProCerts to hard copies, they can use an optional service for a minimal fee.
